How to get that A&F signature look

So we all know A&F models are supposed to be the epitome of the All-American girl/boy. If you step into an A&F boutique, all the female sales people are slim, tanned, and pretty, while all the male staff are tall, broad, muscular, and handsome. But not all of us are born like that (some of you guys may be blessed with more foreign, exotic looks ;) ), but all of us can get that healthy, sexy style with some help!

(Note: The following post is basically directed towards females, since male staff require only 3 attributes: muscles, height, and good looks!)

First of all: The Hair.

While short Emma Watson pixie styles are hot, A&F recruiters generally prefer long wavy hair. Doesn’t quite matter if you’re blonde, a redhead, or a brunette; the main thing is thick, luscious locks! To get that subtly-messy, Megan-Fox-in-Transformers hair, don’t wash your hair the night before and put some Oscar Blandi hair gloss for some shine.

Using a teasing comb, tease the hair on the crown of your head. You may also wish to bend over and let your hair fall downwards, before bolting upwards such that your hair sweeps swiftly over your head for that air-blown look. Avoid using too much product, or styling it too much - Abercrombie goes for the au natural look!

Next: The Makeup

Do not, whatever you do, cake on the makeup! The Abercrombie & Fitch models never look like they have makeup on despite looking better than the average person; you really want to go for the natural look here.

To achieve this natural beautiful look, cleanse your face thoroughly and remember to use both toner and moisturiser. Apply some BB cream or some liquid foundation, and spread a thin layer evenly across your face.

Use concealer to conceal dark eye rings or any imperfections, before using some loose powder for a smooth, matte finish.

Using a brow brush, brush your brows so that they’re neat and that they frame your face nicely. Fill in any sparse areas if necessary.

Now using a black eyeliner, line the TOP INNER rim of your eyes ONLY. Do not draw on your eyelids, and do not line your bottom waterline, to avoid looking too made-up. Lining only the top inner rim of your eyes will make your eyes more defined, and that’s all that’s needed :)

Apply some bronzer to contour your cheekbones (and nose/forehead/temples/jawline if you wish). Then apply some lipbalm and you’re good to go!

Hope this tutorial was helpful! :)
